With the Modifero Mod-03 SafetyEdge+ System, the existing manual sliding door of a MAN TGE (2017–present) can be converted into a convenient electrically operated sliding door.
The vehicle-specific system is developed for professional vehicle conversions and reliable daily use in campervans, motorhomes, minibuses, shuttle vehicles and commercial vans. The mechanical and electronic components are adapted to the requirements of the MAN TGE vehicle platform.

For SafetyEdge+ systems supplied for the European market, the active safety edge is included as standard. If an obstacle is detected during closing, the system control responds accordingly and helps protect people and objects within the door area.
Comfortable Closing Without Forceful Manual Sliding
The large side sliding door of the MAN TGE can require considerable effort during manual operation. The Modifero electric system controls the door movement and provides smooth motorized opening and closing for both professional vehicle applications and campervan or motorhome conversions.
Professional MAN TGE Electric Sliding Door Conversion
The Mod-03 system uses a twin-motor drive and is designed to automate the vehicle's existing sliding door. Vehicle-specific mechanical components enable integration into compatible MAN TGE models.
The system operates from the vehicle's 12 V electrical system. An Electronic Control Unit (ECU) coordinates door movement together with the connected control and safety functions.
The Modifero door system does not require a CAN bus connection for operation. The door control operates as a standalone system, allowing the electric sliding door function to work independently of the vehicle's CAN bus.
ECE R10 EMC-Certified Electronics
The Mod-03 uses the Modifero Electronic Control Platform with ECE R10 EMC-certified electronics. The electronic control components are designed and certified for electromagnetic compatibility in automotive applications and support reliable integration within the MAN TGE electrical environment.
