When ordered together, this function is built directly into a specially upgraded main Electronic Control Unit (ECU). You get a single, fully integrated control unit without extra hardware costs.
Ordering Later (Retrofitting): If you decide to add this feature after you have already received the standard sliding door kit, your current standard ECU will not be compatible. You will be required to purchase a completely new, upgraded main ECU alongside this module, which increases the total cost significantly.
